I'm Javid Owji, and my Wedding Officiant Services are non-denominational: sunrise elopements, backyard ceremonies, resort ballrooms, and everything in between. Elopements and small ceremonies are just the two of you, or a handful of people at a park, a beach or your living room, short, meaningful, and on your photographer's schedule. Resort and venue weddings take anywhere from a few dozen guests to 150, and I time the processional and readings to your coordinator's plan. A ceremony can be civil, spiritual or secular. Your call. For vow renewals and commitment ceremonies, I'll tell you when a new license isn't needed, and still make it feel like a wedding.
Some couples arrive with every word written. Others want help getting started. Either way, we'll talk through your story first, then shape the ceremony around it, whether that's ten quiet minutes or a full service with readings and family moments. Unity candles, sand ceremonies, cultural traditions, children who want a part: tell me what matters to you and I'll fit it in without losing the legal words Florida requires. Formal and dignified or relaxed and casual, my job is to make sure you're both comfortable enough to enjoy it.
Hot afternoons, echoing ballrooms and a photographer's tight timeline all change how a ceremony should be delivered. I speak clearly, pause where the moment needs room, and keep the legal part short, so the focus stays on the two of you.
Because I'm a notary too, I can help with the documents that come before and after the big day. Changing your name? I notarize Online Document Notarization and the forms that go with them. Marrying someone from another country? Your marriage certificate may need to be Online Apostille Services for their government.
One of you still out of state? A prenuptial agreement or other document can be signed Virtual Notary Services before you arrive. Honeymoon during a big purchase? A Notarizing a Power of Attorney in Florida lets one spouse sign while the other travels. And if you're buying your first home, I can handle Remote Notary Services as a signing agent, in person or on video.
The license comes first. Both of you apply at a Florida county clerk's office with ID, and any Florida county's license works anywhere in the state. Florida residents have a three-day wait unless they complete a premarital course, while couples from out of state don't. The license expires 60 days after it's issued. After the ceremony I complete it and return it to the clerk within 10 days. The clerk records the marriage, and you'll want a few certified copies for name changes, insurance and travel. Bring the license itself to the ceremony, not a photo of it, and plan ten extra minutes after the vows for signatures.

Do we need witnesses?
Not in Florida.
Florida doesn't require witnesses at the ceremony, though many couples like having two anyway.
Can family watch online?
Yes.
Guests anywhere can watch a livestream. The two of you and I need to be together in person for the ceremony itself.
Can you marry us the same day we get the license?
If you're not Florida residents, or you've taken the course.
Otherwise the three-day wait applies. Tell me your dates, and we'll plan around the clerk's hours.
Do you offer rehearsals?
Yes, for larger wedding parties.
Elopements usually skip straight to the vows.
What do we bring on the day?
The license, your IDs and the rings.
Plus anyone you've asked to take part. I bring the ceremony script and a pen that works.

Most ceremonies are in the Orlando area and nearby counties. For anywhere farther, tell me the venue and date and I'll let you know.
